〜なりに／〜なりの

Says that within the limits of someone's ability, position or situation, they do their best in a way appropriate to that. 〜なりの modifies a noun (自分なりの方法), 〜なりに modifies a verb (子供なりに考える). It acknowledges limitations, so using it about a superior can sound rude; 私なりに is safe and common when speaking modestly about oneself.

• 私なりに一生懸命やってみます。

  わたしなりにいっしょうけんめいやってみます。

  I'll do my very best in my own way.

• 子どもは子どもなりに家族のことを心配している。

  こどもはこどもなりにかぞくのことをしんぱいしている。

  Children worry about their families in their own childlike way.

• 新人には新人なりの見方があって、参考になった。

  しんじんにはしんじんなりのみかたがあって、さんこうになった。
