〜てある

Used with transitive verbs to describe a state that remains because someone did the action on purpose; the object is usually marked with が (or は). The doer is not mentioned but is implied. Compare 〜ている with intransitive verbs (ドアが開いている = the door is open, no agent implied) and 〜ておく (the act of preparing rather than the state).

• 壁に地図がはってあります。

  かべにちずがはってあります。

  A map has been put up on the wall.

• 冷蔵庫に飲み物が入れてありますよ。

  れいぞうこにのみものがいれてありますよ。

  There are drinks put in the fridge.

• 予約はもうしてありますから、心配しないでください。

  よやくはもうしてありますから、しんぱいしないでください。

  The reservation has already been made, so don't worry.
