〜に限らず

Says that something is not restricted to the noun mentioned; the following clause names a wider range, usually with も or 〜なら誰でも. It attaches only to nouns, typically ones expressing a category, time, place or group. Compare 〜に限る, which means the opposite ('nothing beats ...').

• この店は日曜日に限らず、平日も混んでいる。

  このみせはにちようびにかぎらず、へいじつもこんでいる。

  This shop is crowded not only on Sundays but on weekdays too.

• アニメは子供に限らず、大人にも人気がある。

  あにめはこどもにかぎらず、おとなにもにんきがある。

  Anime is popular not only with children but with adults as well.

• 当社では学歴に限らず、やる気のある人を採用しています。

  とうしゃではがくれきにかぎらず、やるきのあるひとをさいようしています。

  Our company hires motivated people, regardless of educational background.
