い形容詞・な形容詞＋名詞

い-adjectives attach directly to the noun (新しい車), while な-adjectives need な before it (きれいな花). The negative forms also work this way: 高くない店, 静かじゃない部屋. Remember that きれい, 有名, 嫌い end in い but are な-adjectives, so きれいな人 is correct, not きれい人.

• 新しいかばんを買いました。

  あたらしいかばんをかいました。

  I bought a new bag.

• 静かな部屋で勉強したいです。

  しずかなへやでべんきょうしたいです。

  I want to study in a quiet room.

• この店には安くておいしい料理があります。

  このみせにはやすくておいしいりょうりがあります。

  This restaurant has cheap and tasty food.
