〜なしに

Attaches to a noun (often a noun of action such as 連絡・許可・予告) to say that something is done without that thing. 〜なしには usually comes with a negative ending, meaning "cannot do without ~". It is stiffer and more written than 〜ないで or 〜なしで, and is common in notices and formal writing.

• 許可なしにこの部屋に入ってはいけない。

  きょかなしにこのへやにはいってはいけない。

  You must not enter this room without permission.

• 彼は何の連絡もなしに会社を休んだ。

  かれはなんのれんらくもなしにかいしゃをやすんだ。

  He skipped work without any notice at all.

• 皆さんの協力なしには、この計画は成功しなかっただろう。

  みなさんのきょうりょくなしには、このけいかくはせいこうしなかっただろう。

  Without everyone's cooperation, this project would not have succeeded.
