〜としても／〜にしても／〜にしろ

These express concession: even granting the condition, the result in the main clause does not change. 〜としても often supposes something hypothetical or not yet true, while 〜にしても／〜にしろ can take a fact or a noun and mean 'even in the case of ~'. 〜にしろ (and 〜にせよ) is stiffer and common in writing or formal speech; 〜にしても is the most neutral and conversational. When paired (AにしろBにしろ) they mean 'whether A or B'.
