〜に関する

Marks the topic or subject matter that something deals with; 〜に関する modifies a noun and 〜に関して modifies a predicate. It is a formal written counterpart of 〜について and is common in notices, reports and news. 〜について can also mean 'thinking/asking about' in everyday speech, while 〜に関する tends to point to a field or area of content, as in 環境に関する法律.

• 環境に関する本を何冊か借りた。

  かんきょうにかんするほんをなんさつかかりた。

  I borrowed several books about the environment.

• この件に関しては、後ほどご説明いたします。

  このけんにかんしては、のちほどごせつめいいたします。

  Regarding this matter, I will explain later.

• 来月、食品の安全に関するセミナーが開かれる。

  らいげつ、しょくひんのあんぜんにかんするセミナーがひらかれる。

  A seminar on food safety will be held next month.
