〜をこめて

Says that the speaker puts a particular feeling or energy into an action. The noun is limited to emotion-type words such as 心, 愛, 感謝, 祈り, 願い, 力; you cannot use it with ordinary objects. It is common in set phrases like 心をこめて作る and 感謝をこめて贈る, and sounds warm rather than stiff; the noun-modifying form is 〜をこめた.

• 母は心をこめて料理を作ってくれた。

  ははは こころを こめて りょうりを つくって くれた。

  My mother cooked for me with all her heart.

• お世話になった先生に、感謝をこめて花束を贈った。

  おせわに なった せんせいに、かんしゃを こめて はなたばを おくった。
