〜も

も replaces は, が and を to mean "also/too" when something is the same as what was just mentioned. With other particles it attaches after them (東京へも行きました). After a question word plus a negative verb it means "not any": 何も食べません (I don't eat anything). Remember that you cannot say 「私はも」 — it must be 「私も」.

• 私も学生です。

  わたしもがくせいです。

  I am a student too.

• きのうは何も買いませんでした。

  きのうはなにもかいませんでした。

  I didn't buy anything yesterday.

• 弟はサッカーも野球も好きです。

  おとうとはサッカーもやきゅうもすきです。

  My little brother likes both soccer and baseball.
