〜をください

The standard polite way to ask for an object, used constantly when shopping or ordering. Quantities come after the noun and particle: コーヒーを二つください. Do not confuse it with V-てください, which asks someone to perform an action; をください always takes a noun.

  みずをください。

  Water, please.

• この赤いペンをください。

  このあかいペンをください。

  I'll take this red pen, please.

• すみません、切符を二枚ください。

  すみません、きっぷをにまいください。

  Excuse me, two tickets please.
